Working in collaboration with members of the Transactions team within Advisory Services, the incumbent will be responsible for determining the risk elements to be covered in the due diligence, proposing procedures to analyze the identified risks, carrying out the financial due diligence, and documenting and formulating his/her conclusions. The candidate may also be called upon to assist the Transactions team with other types of financial mandates, such as financial modeling, financing or other advisory services.

  • Help identify key issues and plan due diligence work;
  • Assist buyers and sellers in the business acquisition/sale process;
  • Carry out quality control of analyses and documentation provided to customers, and ensure that documentation relevant to financial due diligence is duly collated and completed;
  • Plan projects and ensure coordination with customers and other parties involved.
  • Write and prepare analysis reports;
  • Find innovative ways to offer added value to customers; ensure we meet their needs and strengthen these links;
  • Participate in business development initiatives.
  • In-depth knowledge of company purchase and sale transactions
  • 5 years’ experience in due diligence or transactional services;
  • 3-4 years’ experience in auditing (CPA designation required),
  • Mastery of business valuation methods;
  • CBV or CFA designation (an asset)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Bilingualism (an asset)
  • A sense of responsibility, organization, autonomy, interpersonal skills and a concern for providing an optimal customer experience are essential qualities for the success of this position.
