Our tax department has experienced enviable growth in recent years. The team dedicated to the creative and entertainment industries is looking for a Manager/Senior Manager with at least 5 years' experience in the field. Already active and committed in this sector, or simply motivated to make the leap into the world of creative clients, the incumbent will work in collaboration with several of the firm's stakeholders, and will be responsible for a variety of stimulating files requiring frequent interaction with clients and associates. In addition, they will act as a resource person for assurance professionals on all tax matters.

  • Review planning notes describing proposed transactions and their tax consequences;
  • Ensure that planning mandates are carried out and that they run smoothly;
  • Assist customers with tax audits and opposition files;
  • Oversee and manage compliance mandates for certain strategic customers;
  • Delegate and review various tax searches;
  • Act as a reference person for professionals in other departments;
  • Be involved in the firm’s growth through business development, recruitment and training.
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in taxation;
  • Master’s degree in taxation and/or completion of the CICA In-Depth Tax Course;
  • Possess solid technical knowledge, keep skills up to date and pursue professional development;
  • Bilingualism essential (spoken and written);
  • Knowledge of tax and IT software (Taxnet Pro, Taxprep, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.);
  • Dedicated team player, thoroughness, critical thinking, good writing skills and a focus on delivering an optimal customer experience are essential to the success of this position.
