Conseiller.ère à la paie - Impartition comptable et financière

Reporting to the Quality Manager of the Noa department and working in collaboration with the members of the department, your role will be to take charge of the payroll department, ensuring proper payroll management for our customers.

  • Take charge of the payroll service for the outsourcing department (NOA);
  • Payroll management for several companies in Canada and the United States;
  • Review and validate payroll accounting entries (each pay period);
  • Implement and continuously improve payroll processes and systems;
  • Prepare, develop and produce various reports for accounting and management;
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of payroll database and process all necessary updates/corrections (i.e. new hires/terminations/salary changes/bank details, change of address, group insurance deductions, benefits etc.);
  • Keep abreast of applicable payroll and labor standards regulations and be willing to take training as authorized by immediate supervisor;
  • Apply the tax, social and legal rules in force in the various Canadian provinces and U.S. states;
  • Prepare T4 and R1 statements and help manage the tax slip season;
  • Provide inspirational leadership to your team (coaching, training, performance management, etc.);
  • Reference source for internal employees.
  • College diploma (or higher);
  • Minimum 4 years’ previous relevant experience;
  • INP Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certification (an asset);
  • Experience with several payroll systems;
  • Ability to work on several accounts simultaneously;
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in French and English;
  • Must be meticulous and have good follow-up skills;
  • Extensive knowledge/experience based on payroll and benefits (group insurance, RRSPs, bonuses, etc.);
  • Good command of MS Word and Excel;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with regard to confidential information;
  • Ability to work independently.
