DECEMBER 31, 2011 – A NEW MILESTONE
IN PAY EQUITY
In accordance with the PAY EQUITY ACT, all companies under provincial jurisdiction with 10 or more employees were required to have completed their pay equity exercise by December 31, 2010.
If you carried out a pay equity exercise in your company by December 31, 2010, you may be required to carry out a first maintenance assessment no later than December 31, 2011.
This deadline only applies to companies that used data prior to February 1, 2009 to carry out their pay equity exercise. Companies using data from February 1, 2009 must carry out a formal assessment of maintenance 5 years after the results are posted.
Evaluating the maintenance of pay equity means ensuring that female-dominated job classes within the company continue to receive remuneration equal to that of male-dominated job classes of equivalent value.
To help you comply with this obligation and minimize the energy spent on this exercise, our specialized pay equity team can offer you a quality service tailored to your needs.

we’ll be happy to answer your questions.
