Montreal, January 13, 2020 – The Bureau du cinéma et de la télévision du Québec (BCTQ) appoints Alexandre Laturaze, CPA, CA, LL.M. Fisc., MBA, Canadian Tax Partner at Demers Beaulne, as Treasurer of its Board of Directors following the retirement of Maurice Prud’homme.
A chartered accountant and tax expert, Alexandre has developed a particular expertise in the media and entertainment sector. His extensive knowledge of the particularities of this industry makes him a valuable ally for his clients, contributing directly to several important elements of their productions, from setting up the financial and corporate structure to claiming tax credits.
The Board would also like to acknowledge the work of Maurice Prud’homme, outgoing Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the BCTQ and former Executive Director of the Fonds d’investissement de la culture et des communications (FICC), and to thank him for his investment in this role. The Bureau would like to underline its involvement in the creation of the BCTQ, notably through the working groups conducted during the Forum métropolitain de l’industrie cinématographique (FMIC) in 2004.
