COVID-19: Montreal offers support measures for its businesses

Emergency financial aid, help measures, and a hotline are now offered to Montreal businesses.
BUSINESSES
- Municipal taxes – 2nd remittance: Extension of deadline to July 2, 2020.
Deadline dates for the payment of other invoices received, such as SDC contributions, remain as is.
- Emergency financial aid: Retail businesses, social economic, creative and cultural industries, as well as tourism industries will benefit from a help fund of $ 5 million.
The terms of this program have yet to be determined. They will be shared as soon as they become available.
- Other support programs (PRAM) offered to businesses by the City of Montreal are maintained.
If your aid request has already been accepted, you will continue to receive the amounts anticipated. However, be aware that there may be some processing delays.
MEASURES OFFERED BY PME MONTREAL
Available to private and social economic businesses who took out a loan as part of the PME Montreal Funds, the Fonds Locaux de Solidarité (local funds) and the Fonds de Commercialisation des Innovations (Commercialization of innovations Fund).
- Automatic moratorium of 6 months on capital and interests.
The City of Montreal will pay the interest portion during this period.
