Economic measures affecting the cultural sector

To support it and contribute to its revival, the 2021-2022 Quebec budget provides for investments of $392 million over the next six years in 3 main areas:

  • Promoting culture ;
  • Promoting cultural heritage ;
  • Defend and strengthen the status of French as the official and common language of Quebec.

General tax measures applicable to all Québec businesses

In addition to the increase in the small business deduction rate, the addition of a choice regarding the number of hours paid is one of the tax measures included in the Quebec budget.

Also, to encourage Quebec companies to carry out their investment projects, the government is planning to enhance the C3i. This initiative will accelerate Quebec’s economic recovery. The bonus will temporarily double C3i rates.

Finally, Quebec announces a further extension of the employer contribution credit to the Fonds des Services de Santé (FSS) for employees on paid leave.
