4 tips for submitting the perfect application

Are you looking for a rewarding professional experience that will enable you to put your knowledge into practice while developing new skills? Do you aim to secure the internship of your dreams and stand out among other candidates? Look no further, as our Human Capital team is here to guide you towards success! Here are 4 sure-fire tips for submitting an application that won’t go unnoticed.

First, Make Sure to Personalize your Cover Letter

Imagine receiving hundreds of applications, all similar and impersonal, for any job postings. Which one would grab your attention? That’s precisely what you should put into practice! Be creative and tailor your cover letter to the company and the position you’re targeting. Show that you’ve taken the time to research our company and describe how your profile aligns perfectly with our values and specific needs.

You, Us, I: three points to consider in your job search

YOU. Always start your letter by expressing your interest in the company. From the outset, demonstrate that you have taken the time to research our company and that you are genuinely interested in what we do. Do share what attracts you to us, whether it’s our corporate culture, our vision, or our innovative projects. Highlight the common values that motivate you and drive you to want to join our team. This connection between your aspirations and our company will add authenticity to your application.

US. Next, discuss what we would achieve together. In the second phase, emphasize what you could bring to the company and how your profile aligns with the specific needs of the position. Showcase your skills, relevant experiences, and past achievements, directly linking them to the company’s expectations and goals. Demonstrate that you understand the challenges we face and suggest ideas or solutions to address them. Let your enthusiasm for actively contributing to our mutual success shine through.

Finally, I. . Talk about yourself and your added value. In this last phase, it is important to highlight what you would bring as an intern. Describe the specific skills you want to develop or strengthen, and how our company would be the ideal environment to do so. Express your passion, curiosity, and eagerness to learn from experienced professionals. Show that you are ready to fully commit and make a meaningful contribution to our team. Your motivation and determination to succeed will be valuable assets to your application.

Second, Showcase Your Experiences and Achievements

Nothing speaks more highly of your skills than your past experience. Even if there are no experience requirements, highlight internships, academic projects, volunteer commitments, or any other work that demonstrates your ability to tackle challenges and achieve tangible results. Don’t forget to describe the skills you have acquired and the lessons you have learned from these experiences. Numbers, facts and success stories are key to setting yourself apart from other candidates. Have you been a member of a sports team for a long time or competed in a discipline? We’d love to know!

Third, Show Us Your Passion and Motivation as a Candidate

Employers are seeking passionate and motivated candidates who are capable of fully investing themselves in their work. In your application, demonstrate your enthusiasm for the company’s field of activity and the position being offered. Explain why you want to work with us and how this internship opportunity will help you achieve your professional goals. Share your vision and determination to actively contribute to the success of the company.

Fourth, Make Sure to Refine your Presentation and Pay Attention to the Details

A well-presented application is essential for making a good impression. Ensure that your resume is clear, concise, and free of spelling or grammar mistakes. Use a professional layout and an easy-to-read font. Additionally, carefully check details such as the spelling of the company name, email address, and phone number. A small, overlooked error can unfortunately cost you an opportunity.

Dear future interns, we are confident that these 4 tips will help you submit an application that stands out and catches the attention of recruiters (us perhaps?). Remember that your personality, skills, and determination are unique, and it’s time to showcase them. So get ready, be confident and send in your application now. We look forward to meeting you and guiding you through this exceptional experience.

More questions? We have the answer.

Follow up, Requesting Feedback on Why my Application was Unsuccessful: Do or Don't?

ABSOLUTELY! Asking for feedback following a rejection is a great way to improve for future job search processes.

What is an unsolicited cover letter?

You need to impress your future employer and ensure that your resume is considered, and a cover letter (or letter of motivation), even if it is not requested, is the best way to do that.

Do spontaneous applications work?

If there are no open job postings, the chances of your application being immediately accepted are rather low. However, a good resume is always kept on file by recruiters.

What is a good application for a job?

To submit a polished (and comprehensive) job application, we suggest starting with a cover letter (PDF format). You can then add the resume (CV) in the same format, all accompanied by a brief but enthusiastic message, indicating which job position you are applying for.
