Mercuriades Finalist in the “Employer of the Year” Category

Demers Beaulne once again recognized for its initiatives to promote employee well-being

Montreal, March 26, 2024 – Demers Beaulne is proud to have been selected as a finalist in the “Employer of the Year” category of the 44th edition of the prestigious Les Mercuriades competition organized by the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec. This appointment is further testimony to the relevance of the innovative practices and policies put in place by Demers Beaulne to enable employees to develop professionally and build a strong sense of belonging within the consulting firm.

“In recent years, Demers Beaulne has launched a number of bold and innovative initiatives to attract qualified candidates while ensuring the retention of its employees in a context of labour shortage. Dino Masciotra, Managing Partner. Our human-centred approach and our unwavering desire to innovate for the benefit of our employees were clearly noticed by the juries, which is already a form of recognition that we welcome with pride and honour.”

An accounting and consulting firm that combines performance and happiness at work

Already recognized for the high quality of its services and its unique personality, Demers Beaulne believes that it is by focusing on a better work environment and developing an atypical culture and personalized approach with its talents that the firm can distinguish itself in the industry.

The many initiatives aimed at enhancing employee well-being and providing a better work/life balance within the firm featured prominently in the Mercuriades application. Demers Beaulne recently became the first accounting and business consulting firm in Quebec to obtain B Corp Certification, confirming its sincere commitment to sustainability, responsible governance and the social impact of its activities. And then there’s the famous 4-day week, paid for 5, 6 months a year, another exclusive feature of the firm’s industry.

A new employer brand (“Demers Beaulne… Weatlh in People) launched in 2022 has helped to better define the firm’s personality as an employer, an approach that has been validated by external organizations. These include BonBoss, which in 2023 awarded the “Humanly Distinctive Organization” certification to distinguish organizations that perform well and have a human management philosophy. That same year, Demers Beaulne was awarded the Flexible Entreprise – Flow Certification, attesting to the fact that the firm is a company that advocates and lives flexibility, notably through its policy of allowing a four-day week, which is paid as five days worked. This flexibility initiative, appreciated by employees, challenged established industry norms.
