June 1, 2018
, All hazardous products manufactured in or imported into Canada must be labelled in accordance with WHMIS/GHS. In addition, all employees exposed or likely to be exposed to a hazardous product must be trained by December 1, 2018, or risk receiving a waiver from a CNESST inspector.

Since February 11, 2015, GHS has been integrated into WHMIS. Why? To improve the communication of information on hazardous products, while integrating new requirements into the old WHMIS. Since the integration of the GHS, WHMIS has been referred to as “WHMIS 2015” or “WHMIS/GHS”.
